My first big piece, full of uncontrolled emotion coming out of frustrated love. At the end, the pianists bow the strings with small drills; this is the only part I still like.
"Anathema" has two meanings:
1. A sacred gift
2. Excommunication
The blasphemer in me drew a lot of inspiration from this apparent paradox.
